8Saving a view Everyone
Keep a filtered, sorted table under a name, for yourself or the whole organisation.
A saved view is a name over that query string — the filters, the columns and the sort, exactly as you left them. Keeping your own is self-service, whatever your role.
- Filter the table until it shows what you want.
- Open the views menu in the toolbar and press Save this view….
- Name it for the job it does — “This winter's grit bin round” beats “View 2”.
- Editors and administrators also get Share with everyone in this organization. Tick it and the view appears for the whole team.
Reopen the menu to apply a view, Update view to save changes back into it, or rename and delete from the same place. A dot beside the view's name means you have changed something since it was saved.
Private stays private. A view you keep to yourself is yours alone — other people in your organisation, administrators included, cannot see or open it. Only a shared view is visible to the team, and only an editor or administrator can make one shared.
