Moving from another system Editors & admins
Bring assets over from a spreadsheet, a GIS layer or another system.
If your assets are already recorded somewhere — a spreadsheet, a GIS layer, another asset system — there is no need to type them in one at a time. We move them for you: send an export to [email protected], we map it onto your categories and asset fields, and you check a trial copy on the map and in the table before anything is final.
It helps to have your categories and asset fields roughly in mind first, since that is what the old columns become — but nothing has to be settled, and a column that does not fit yet can come along as a one-off field. The ID each asset had before can be kept in a field too, and the search box will find it.
