Using mapzaa on a phone, standing in front of the asset.
mapzaa is meant to be usable while standing in front of the asset, not only back at a desk. On a phone the map fills the screen and the asset list becomes a sheet you pull up from the bottom — the grab bar says how many assets match, so you can filter without raising it. An asset you open rises as a sheet over the lower half of the map: drag it up to see all of it, or down to close it.
- Find it: search, tap its pin, or point your phone's camera at its label — the QR code opens it straight on the map.
- Use Navigate in Google Maps to walk or drive to it.
- Standing at the asset, correct what is wrong and press Save — the same panel as on a desktop. + Add photo takes a picture there and then. A field worker can change the status, description, fields and photos; moving an asset or changing its category is for an editor.
- Adding an asset on the spot (editors and administrators): press + in the top bar, or tap the map where it stands.
A maintenance plan works on a phone too: open it from Plans in the menu, and its map shows where everything in the round is. When the round is done, Mark as done is on the plan itself.
